I have been using this humidifier at home and on trips for more than 6 months, and the only issue I have had is that I just left the water bottle with the adapter top in the last hotel.
Make sure you are using the right cap for your bottle... and it should not leak. Our son and our friends also bought this and have had no problems.
It works better and is easier to clean than the room sized one we used to have.

I was very displeased with this product. It did not perform as it was advertised. It also leaked.

This is the fifth one I bought. Everyone that I bought leaked into the motor compartment from the adapter that is like a bottle stopper and got my whole end table and carpet soaking wet. I would not recommend this to anyone. I don't have 30.00 dollars to spend everytime I turn around. This product is definitely my final answer ( not worth a Penny)
Cons: leaks like anything after a couple of days

u get what u pay for.. cheap gimmick.... will buy a better product even if it costs more. have gotten the mist only once in the past month and a water bottle full of mess every single time i have used it since. please dont buy it for urself or gift to others.

This is one the greatest inventions where humidifiers go. I have purchased 3 in the last year, giving them to friends when they become sick. The only thing I do NOT like about the latest upgrade to the product, is that the part that screws onto a bottle has been changed and now does NOT fit all bottles, and since I use bottled water you have to purchase certain water bottles that will not leak. Wished they hadn't changed it. The previous version was much better. But still the product is good and easily transportable if you are traveling on a business trip and need to take it with you.

Cons: the bottle top had been changed

I love this little humidifer: it only takes a water bottle and no messy bulky containers to deal with. It is so small I am taking it on my roadtrips. It has an automatic shutoff so when it runs out of water it just turns off. So cool, my friends from work all have these and just had to have one, so I bought 2.

I ran it for 1 hour before it started producing a mist. The mist was intermitten and only worked about 30 minutes. I let it rest, cleaned it, and started it again and this time it never misted. The tops that attach to the bottle didn't fit either. I was able to rig it so it worked but there was no point since it never misted.

When I first started using this, I thought it wasn't working right and was ready to take it back. The stopper wouldn't seal; there were air bubbles around the stopper. As a result, it was filling up too fast and would quit misting. I was using a recycled water bottle. I tried a different bottle and made sure the stopper was in tight and level--viola! It works like a charm!!! The recycled bottle's mouth was shallower and flimsy. The regular bottle has a deeper mouth and thicker plastic. It seals the way it needs to for the unit to work properly. I have read other reviews and wonder if maybe this may have been a problem easily resolved.

I have bought several of these over the past year, returning one every month for a new one. After a while the motor starts getting louder and louder or it just stops misting all together. I have returned one to the manufacturer and I am waiting to hear back from them, since they say it is extremely rare that these fail (I have had 5 do the same thing). I have 1 I am going to return to CVS and another one that is actually still working after 2 months, we'll see how long that one takes to break. I love the concept, I really wish it would work.

Easy to use, but easy to lose parts, too. After moving, we lost the blue lid that directs the mist. So, I found a snug fitting vitamin bottle lid, and I punched tiny holes in it. Now, the little humidifier is back to work.

A nifty little humidifier that can sit on your nightstand. I loved this little machine last year and used it for the 3 months of winter. Took it out this year to use it again, and it no longer works...leaks from the bottom and sides. I bought it on sale for about $15.00 so I am not too upset. Was an excellent value for the time I used it.

I initially thought this little humidifier didn't work and planned to take it back to CVS the next day for a refund. It was barely spitting out any mist at all. I left it running for a couple hours and went off to do other things, and when I got back it was really pumping it out and working just fine. I think it doesn't like being over full. When it stops producing mist, I just take blue-lit cap off and allow some of the water to splash out until the mist starts coming at a good rate, and then I replace the cap and let it do it's thing. The salt trick helps too. Although it doesn't have the same effect as a full-sized humidifier, I'm glad I didn't return it and will keep it for travel.

This product is so totally practical and portable. IT IS SILENT. The mist regulator allows you to use it anywhere. Mist is convenient, cool to the touch, YOU CAN TAKE THIS PRODUCT WITH YOU. It can be on your desk without concern or in your suitcase. If you struggle with sinus issues this product is for you.

I've been using this every night for 6 months and it's fantastic! I bought it in April to bring to Coachella because I wanted a humidifier to save me from the desert air but had to be small and quiet in the house I was sharing with 20 people. As soon as I turned it on it started pumping out mist, no warm up time required! In the last 2 months it's become kind of loud when I first turn it on but quiets down after a few minutes. It's just white noise to me so I didn't mind it, even helped cover up the loud neighbors! The light can be a little bright if you're used to a super dark room, and the ground can get wet if it's turned up too high all night. I just bought a new one yesterday!

Cons: motor got loud after 4 months of continuous use, can get floor wet if turned up too high

Omg owned this since April 13, 2012 It sits on my night stand right next to my bed and it was working great up until the other day! 9-10 2012 It mists for a little while then stops and now the fan makes a loud noise when you turn it on! So disappointed!! I will try to return it and get another one and see what happens! I use this every night!

Cons: only lasted 5 months!

This thing is working out to be so much better than I had expected (especially considering all the reviews pointing out its flaws, which I honestly haven't encountered).
It's much more compact than I thought it would be.
It doesn't leak at all, and it's very quiet and unnoticeable.
The mist is great! I sleep so much better now.
I really should have gotten one of these much sooner.
If it goes on sale again, I'll definitely be buying more to give as gifts.

This Humidifier is great. I love it! It is compack and helps me breath better. I have the one with the whte insert for the water bottle. To prevent leaking I use the Propel plastic water bottle. You can even use the 16oz size bottle. The small thinner water bottles tend to leak. I have it on 24 hours a day. It even helps my dogs breathing. It has a blue little light that works as a nighlight. The old model had three differnt size inserts for the bottle These leaked,. The new models have a white insert for the water bottle. This one works the best and fits all bottles. The item is nice and small. It does a large room. I love it.

It's a great idea, but it just doesn't work in the real world. None of the caps really fit the three different bottles of water I tried to use. When something got going, I was afraid to move it from the bathroom where I was testing it, because it was leaking slowly. Vapor stream is tiny and really not effective. I wanted to love it, but....

It only worked twice, and only for an hour at a time.

Someone mentioned that it didn't work properly when filled above the max line (red line inside the little unit) and mine went past that from moving it around trying to figure out where to put it. I dumped the water out and restarted it and the mist is just dumping out of this thing. It's putting out almost as much as a full size humidifier! I got a bottle of Fiji water while at the store because it's a square bottle with palms and flowers on it. It looks so cool! The blue light looks cool too. This thing is so tiny I can't believe it. I always hated those big bulky humidifiers but my throat this winter is torn to shreds from dry air. I'm sure this little thing will solve that problem, not take up any space and look great while it's working. Only thing - It cost me 10 bucks more to walk in the store and buy it versus online. My severely inflamed sore throat couldn't wait though. I couldn't think of waiting another few days in pain for one to be shipped.
Also, this little thing is nearly silent. It's very quiet.
